Looks like he’s having a great summer. Just posted consecutive 9-strikeout starts (9 innings total). Hopefully he’s starting to grow into a pitcher and not just a flamethrower.

I said after the CWS that we will look back at this roster and wonder why a guy like Cerantola only pitched to one batter in Omaha. He’s gonna be the real deal.

Its for the same reason that Dakota Hudson only had one year out of three that was great, that Woodruff only had like 20 total innings worth a damn here, and why Stratton struggled so much as a freshman. Everyone develops and figures it out at a different pace. Cerantola certainly began showing those signs in the SEC tournament outing.

Houston is a other one that comes to mind.

He also had multiple mid-week starts in which he didn't make it out of the 1st inning.
He's insanely talented, but he just wasnt ready to be a major contributor.

Gonna is the key word in your last sentence. He wasn’t ready to give any meaningful innings in Omaha.

While I don't have a fancy Lou Brown gif, Lou Brown also say he's looking great "against guys who will probably be bagging groceries next week."
