Central Cabarrus at Freedom

Freedom has a SOS of 227. Thought it might be better than that! Central should keep it close hopefully.
Running the ball and keeping the Freedom offense off the field will be a key factor for Central Cabarrus.

Game notes per "The Paper" (Morganton): Kaden Davis was 10-15 passing for 149 yards and 2 TDs. He also had nine carries for 53 yards and another pair of touchdowns. Davis is now tied for the county record for most touchdowns accounted for in a single season with 42 (I assume he shares the record with Draughn QB Eli Tillery from their 2022 team). Kobe Johnson had a TD catch which means he now holds the country record for touchdown receptions in a season outright. Patriots played good defense last night, especially against the run, but they will have to keep that effort up against Sun Valley who could be the best team they've faced all season, the Spartans finished second behind Weddington in an absolutely brutal 6A/7A conference.
I figure Central would play them closer than they did but good win. But good win for Feeedom. Next week will be a good and interesting game when they take on Sun Valley
Maxpreps has them as the top ranked 6A team in the state, but I'm still hopeful. I apply the transitive property: they beat Catholic by 21 and Catholic beat ACR by 27. We beat ACR by 50, so mathematically we should win by 2.
Realistically I think they're two TDs better than us.
I may be wrong about Catholic but I believe they are playing better ball now than back earlier in the season. Anyway regardless each rd will get tough as it goes.
Its gonna be a Barn burner up at Watauga this friday. Ive never seen Catholic play before and hadn't seen Watauga in 2 years I believe I'll head up to that one

I have said it before, and I will say it again: JK Adkins is one of the best football coaches I have had the pleasure to observe.
He has turned Freedom around quicker than anyone thought.
And I will say this, with no disrespect to anyone else or any other team, if JK had been at Mt Airy last year, we would have played for the State Championship for the third straight year.

I agree about Jk Adkins. He is a very good coach. I remember he took a struggling South Iredell team back around ‘05 or so to 3rd rd of 3A playoffs.
