CBS Post-Spring Bowl projections

They needed an editor - they listed Clemson 2x (12 seed and 3rd seed) in the championship group. That's kind of embarrassing.
That would smell like a 7-5 season which would probably be the worst outcome for me. 7-5 would likely have fans at eachothers throats even more. Which is so bad for the program
One side, you’d have fans claiming Rhule has improved to win 1 more game a year and that has gone bowling 2 years in a row.
Other side would point to a weak schedule and an elite QB and Rhule’s inability to really have success in 3 years @ NU but really most of his career. Then mock the “3 year swell guy promise”.
7-5 wouldn’t get Matt fired. Leading us into another off-season championship of “next year is our year” rah-rah BS by the church of saint brother Rhule. With old silver tongue saying “I’ve got to start winning” making his followers moist.
I’m just saying put up or shut up this year. That’s all. No “the crown” championships. 9 wins and I’ll drink the kool-aid… 6-6 or less, fire him

Agreed. Vegas would be a a great destination for some and a nice deal but not a great bowl (ranking) for payouts

I agree the Big 12 was soft, but by the end of the season Arizona State was pretty damned good. I guess whoever wins the hapless Big XII automatically gets a top 4 seed. But I’ll bet ya it’s not ISU.
Would be fun to go back to San Antonio and play a Big12 team in the Alamo bowl.
Making the ReliaQuest or Citrus bowls would mean we had 9 potentially 10 win season.

I know it's way early but we need to win at least 9 games to get to a really good game against a really good opponent. I'm looking at 9 wins as my max and 8 wins would be acceptable but not great. Nebraska needs to get this many wins in order to draw the top players to Nebraska to keep moving the needle upward.
