Catholic (Virginia Beach) completed a perfect conference season by capturing the TCIS championship to go along with their regular season title by defeating the Steward School 66-45.
Junior guards Brayden Thorne and Josiah Rickards broke the game open with a big second quarter. The Crusaders led 22-16 with five minutes to go but pushed the lead to 31-18 two minutes later. A three at the buzzer gave Catholic a 38-25 halftime lead.
Catholic maintained a double-digit lead throughout the 2nd half and the outcome was never in doubt.
