Whole family is Gators fans. It's where he wanted to go out of HS but UF wasn't going to take a big in the 2018 class. Tried to get him to prep but Castleton didn't want to & went to Hoth....I mean Michigan instead.

Michigan has lost him, Simpson, Teske, and the backup point guard. Who else did they lose? Big time recruit also.

Isaiah Todd took the new NBA pathway via the G-League. Michigan knew that was always an option and signed a really good four-star center named Hunter Dickinson

As a Gator grad I am happy for my fellow alumni but as a Rutgers fan from birth I could care less.

Russ, overall, what is the level of high school basketball in Florida ? Which city has the most talent? Tampa or Miami ? Which of the big three do most of the high school kids follow?

There is some very good HS basketball being played in Florida and I don't just mean at Montverde Academy and IMG Academy.

It's not at the level of DMV basketball but it is good. I think the talent level in, and around, Orlando is better than the Tampa Bay Area. Miami tends to produce better athletes than Central Florida but they typically aren't as skilled as the Central Florida kids.

UF & FSU win more battles for in-state kids than Miami.

UF closed in late March and nephew came home to New Jersey and is finishing finals right now. Sounds like UF is strongly leaning toward campus being open in mid-August since graduations have been scheduled on campus for July 31-August 2. This must be having a big economic impact on Gainesville.
