Sorry if this had been posted somewhere but didn’t see it. I think it’s interesting that they aren’t naming the older guys like Javin captains right away. Could we see a freshman captain if RJ or Tre seem to be leading this team after the Canada trip?

I like the JRob or Vrank but I think one of the freshman will need to come forward as a vocal leader. They’ll be on the floor the most. The other 4 will need someone to get them fired up and be a vocal leader. I really like Bolden and expect him to have a breakout year but I don’t know if he has the demeanor or personality to take on the role. I’d love for him to prove me wrong though.

I vote R.J. and Javin...I think one has to be an upper classman who will get a lot of playing time

Never heard of such a thing. I vote Vrank and J Rob.

I actually like the strategy being that there is no senior that has seen much playing time and the freshmen, well they're freshman. Maybe someone like vrank or jack are eventually captains, but I like seeing how the team plays in Canada and maybe someone emerges from that trip as a natural leader.

From what we have returning, and not considering a freshmen as a captain, the guy I think most capable of being a captain is Jack White.
In the times he played this past season, he was very engaged, hustled, and is definitely liked. The crazies LOVE him. The kid gives it everything he has, and has some talent too.

Certainly think Jack is qualified. Kid seems levelheaded, teammates really like him, and I think it would be a good move. The main thing I like about Jack is his on-court communication from the back of our 2-3 zone. It was very evident this year that he UNDERSTANDS the defense. We had a couple (starters no less) who often didnt have a clue.

I think Vrank deserves consideration (he's a senior) as do Ques and Javin.
