Was looking at some of these other programs. One KU's lead recruiter in Josh Jackson (who Cal didn't really pursue) was the same lead recruiter for Billy Preston. Jackson was involved with Zona until the end. Preston was involved with USC until the end. Also it was interesting to see that their one "hard commit" for next year was 100% crystal ball to Maryland and that same lead recruiter.

Now with Capel...he really went from a nobody recruiter to the best recruiter in college ball:

Capel inherited a program saddled with restrictions after major NCAA rules violations by predecessor Kelvin Sampson, and the Sooners are again being investigated because of a loan former player Keith "Tiny" Gallon has said he took from a Florida financial adviser.

Documents obtained from the university showed that Oronde Taliaferro, a Capel assistant who resigned last year, frequently exchanged phone calls and text messages with the adviser, Jeffrey Hausinger of Tampa, and was even invited to stay at Hausinger's home. - espn.com

Duke is dirty we just don't know how. There's no way they pull the OAD from Cal at the time they did it without playing in the mud.

Capel is a thug and a hired gun. K is very savvy. It will Be tough to catch him up in it imo.

I wanna know who the two Duke players are that are/were investigated by the FBI. The two that one poster keeps referencing in the Barrett thread. Is he FOS or what?

One thing is for sure, if he continues getting results, he'll jump to be a head coach somewhere. He has already interviewed the last two years, so he's testing the waters. Only a matter of time before he goes.

Similar to what happened with Antigua. He was getting it done, and the job offers came.

You can't have Coach K with Capel as his assistant for long. Either K retires giving the team to Capel, or Capel leaves after another year or two.

Said it in another thread, capel was brought in to deal with the aau underbelly.

Look at the major recruits theyve gotten that weve not offered. Almost all of them had these implicated schools as finalists.

It wont be that hard, if theyll look.

Jeff Capel is the biggest LIAR about UK and Cal with all of the recruits that UK and Duke are battling for.

He is a PUNK!!

The way I feel. Unfortunately K has the NCAA by the balls. Bagley would have been declared ineligible at UK. K is operating under a different set of rules. Life ain't fair kids.

I'll tell you one thing though. If K is trash in the NCAA tournament again this year, and I'm Cal, I'm trashing his *** on the recruiting trail.
