when he was getting up and leaving from the press conference after the game. He said something to the effect of 'let's try doing it again.' Good to hear him say that, the drive to keep going at the highest level. Seems to still have a lot of energy for his super tough job that demands so much.

With Ulis and Booker definitely coming back our backcourt will be one of the better ones. If Labisseure is somewhat similar to Davis and we could get a guy like a Brown and an effort guy like a Diallo, we should win a whole lot of games next year.

There isn't really anyone somewhat similar to Davis in the entire NBA. Hoping for another college player like him is futile. He's one in a million.

Wisconsin went with their transcendent guys at the end; UK didn't go with its one transcendent player.

This is going to be a hard one to swallow.

I agree with the sentiment of your post. And I'm not trying to be a party popper, but here isn't another Davis. Maybe in 20 years there will be. And it's no done deal that Booker is back.

Missed a golden opportunity tonight. I love these guys and this year was a wonderful ride, but it's a shame we couldn't finish it out.

I don't think I could take another run at an undefeated season. The hurt from this attempt would loom large and this season was no fun at all, having to worry about each game like it was an NCAA tournament game.

Agreed. Next season I hope we drop a game early on just to be done with it, and the odds of ANY team Cal coaches for the rest of his life eve reaching 38-0 is so staggeringly small that it's unlikely to ever happen. Odds are no Kentucky team for the remainder of the lives of anyone on this forum will ever reach that mark. Cal might as well hope to win the Power Ball...twice.

I think Booker should've been in the game when we had the 4 pt lead. We shouldve went for the kill at that point
