Well Harris and Nivar start, so she is not competing with them coming off the bench. She played two minutes today. In a game that was lacking energy she should have played. Rant over.
Solid defense keeping us in it while the offense faltered. Need to find that consistency to avoid those implosions, but they don’t lack options!
I've said it multiple times here. We seem to have little court / clock awareness. When you get the ball with the shot clock off, you hold for the last shot, unless you are ahead of everyone with an uncontested layup.
Make our layups and FT's and this team is hard to beat.

She is competing with starters for minutes because when Nivar plays 35 and Harris plays 32 (today) there is not much left to split between Brooks, Hull, Queiroz, and Henderson.
with that said I don’t want our starters playing more than 30 and I think Henderson is clearly better than Queiroz (though she played pretty great today.) so we agree on a lot.
Just pointing out we have an embarrassment of riches and it is hard to get all the good players minutes.
We need to be more consistent if we expect rewards at the end. Shooting 21% from three and missing layups is not the recipe for success.

I doubt we will see too many if any more games in her career where a healthy N. Brooks doesn’t score.
As I stated before, Cal is a good team. Luckily their best player who is a freshman guard is not able to play. That guard is an McDonald's AA. I told you that Cal gave USC a run for their money. They were up most of that game until the very end. CB and Staff did a good job of making in game adjustments. CB is going to play players who she thinks can help the team win. She stated that on the post game conference. We were told before the season started that TQ was strong, aggressive, and can play. She had been hurt at the beginning of the season like RK and she is starting to be at 100%. Her conditioning is starting to come back each time she plays. I also told yall that this freshmen class was really good and that they were going to play this year. Some of yall disagreed with me. I just watched the video and CB just stated that her rotations will change from game to game depending on the opponent. This is the in game adjustments that I have been talking about. All great coaches will play people who may not have played the game before to provide a spark or whatever the team needs in order to win. TQ provided the spark in the fourth quarter. The good news about this is it will be hard to key in or plan to stop one or two people on our team if you do not know which player on our team is going to go off on you. Also, it helps our players to stay focus each and every game by being ready because you will not know when CB is going to put you in. Great job by CB and Staff and a great win. Go Heels!
