Another short, incomplete, piece meal roster. Difficult to compete and complete a whole season like that - as we have seen.

And all of a sudden "UK backed off"? Lol - right.

Love Oscar - but my problem with him is the limited defense as Cal "coaches" it and the fact that when things are not going well - and Cal's butthole starts clinching up - all he knows offensively is the cram it down into Oscar... and EVERYONE else in the building knows that is going to happen too. So one dimensional. Even if he knows 3 on one or more is coming Oscar's way... he still demands it.

Cal continues to kill UK basketball. Even Lance Ware finally figured it out.

We better call out all the back screens this year. We're one injury away from disaster.
This. People referencing 2012. All 9 guys that year stayed healthy, which is a miracle. We also had a very strong top 6/7. Extremely strong. Not to mention, at least two scholarship players were out for the season with injuries. So, we actually started with more than 9.

The Oscar narrative has gotten out of hand. You don't have to run everything through him when you have the kind of talent around him that is coming in w/ the freshmen class. Do you guys actually understand the difference between what UK had last year around Oscar and what this group brings? It's night/day. I'm not saying they won't have some growing pains, but this is not a Fredrick/Toppin/Wheeler/Ware crew on the floor with your All-American.

We'd probably be better off if Oscar averages eight points and 15 rebounds. And most of the points come at the free throw line. If he averages 16-18 again, we're in trouble.

Who says the roster is set? Could get guys back, could take a guy in the portal, more talent could enter the portal at any minute. Stop doom spiraling at every little thing like it's all over. All but like 5 schools would take our roster right now as it stands.

We need better guys than we’re in last season’s roster. I would take Reeves back but CL can move on. There are better players out there. Cal just sucks at roster building and is only concerned with getting his 5 stars to the league.

All last year was “wait til next year!” Well it’s getting close to next year and this team is as hyped as last year’s, but will they actually match the hype.

“Growing pains”
Jeez have we already gotten to the “we’re young” excuses?

Amazing that folks are in panic mode over next year’s roster. It’s May 4th.

To even read all but 5 schools would take our roster makes me wanna throw up. We used to have kids on the bench that would beat anyone’s starting 5

For you, it's always "just wait and see, because it will get better"; and then when it doesn't get better, it's, "well, we didn't need depth anyway with the talent we have coming in"; and then when we needed the depth after a March disaster it's, "Well, at least we're not Indiana."

You guys have no standard except for one: publicly defend the Kentucky coach at all costs. You essentially reduce all arguments to the point where any standard of excellence is obliterated.

We don't feel the need to feel validated by slamming everything that Coach Cal does and trying to squash any positive things that happens. You feel a sense of purpose for what I assume you feel none in real life by posting on these boards to feel vindicated when another poster happens to agree with you.

It's the craziest thing I've ever seen. He averaged 21 and 20 in his 3 tournament games and he's why we lost? LOL! I mean good grief. Give the man some help.

I've had my fill of awesome recruits coming to UK and stinking up the joint. I'll reserve any excitement until I see them perform well in games that aren't of the cupcake variety.

The Cal haters are a trip. They ranted and raved all last year about how useless Warei is. Now that he is leaving, some of them want to act like he was a key player. He is a decent player who simply isn't Kentucky material. They are actually blaming Cal for Ware's serious deficiencies as a player.

Our coach went all in on one player and kinda set himself in a bad position when it comes to the portal. Know it’s Oscar or complete bust, because it’s looks extremely unlikely Kentucky will seriously go after somebody in the portal

Reminder that this team and class was hyped up as the next big thing all of last year by the pro-Cal brigade. If they don’t live up to it, yall have ZERO excuses.
Can you provide some proof of that?

And who is “y’all”?

I know I thought we would never win anything with Wheeler and Toppin and said so many times.

The only people talking up the less than UK players were the Cal hating cult.

And that was just so they could whine about Cal not getting it done with JV players.

this class has been hyped all year. I don’t want hear how “young“ we are from Cal or his supporter next year if we struggle
