Byron All-Stare RB/LB Caden Considine is headed to Illinois on scholarship.
Surprised Iowa let him get away considering his family's history with the program.
Coach Bielema landed a good one. Always good to see "small-school" player land with a big-time program.
Note: Bret Bielema is a small-town boy, hailing from Prophetstown. Caden's grandfather, Rick Considine, is from Amboy.
Both schools were in the old version of the Three Rivers Conference, although they played a few years apart.
I believe Rick graduated in 1980. Bret graduated around 1988. Saw Rick play while I was a student at Morrison. One of the best athletes ever to come out of the TRAC-8. Covered Bret as a media member when he was a Prophet.
