Will miss a few games with a dislocated finger. Did not play yesterday.

A now-former, but at the time Iowa Commit tried to steal a ball from me playing pick-up and gave me a gnarly dislocation + avulsion fracture. That wasn't a keep playing situation.

I don't know what CSB is..
but... the dislocation of a finger by itself is not a serious injury at all.
but for sure... the "avulsion fracture" can be very serious... that is... if there is more to the injury than the actual dislocation

but I don't know... people are extremely cautious nowadays.. probably smart
but I was never smart

"csb" means 'cool story, bro'. Its something people on the internet say to mock each other- usually after anecdotal stories, so often we preempt that by mocking ourselves first

The reduction of dislocated joints is often a surprisingly minor experience - credit to the human body! the dislocation of my finger was simple, but the Doctors gp doc i walked to near the gym wouldn't touch it, so i had to wait to see the orthopedic surgeon the next day. here is a link for those who may be interested.

the most painful part of the whole thing was my finger swelling inside the cast and my pinky taking the brunt of it

I would like to add... when I was a kid growing up in the bars... I met one gentleman in particular that had crooked fingers... and that was because he never got them fixed... so... I think that was a good idea to get that fixed.

In hindsight CJ might be a good example that the grass isn’t always greener. Foot speed an issue for him post leg injury and inability to get open this season has led to bad shooting. Thought he could have been a big piece last season if he stayed around.

My guess is CJ's dream school was UK. He received a pathway to get to Lexington, close to home and to be near friends and family. Although he'd like to be playing, I'm sure he's far happier just being close to his inner circle. As I mentioned on the other board, based on how and where he grew up, it's highly unlikely he'll ever live outside of the greater Cincinnati area. Good for him if he's a happier person.

I thought this was a 'current' thread... I was going to question it, but instead will give an update.

I saw highlights of the end of the game from Tuesday night and CJ missed a tough game tying 3 pointer and Kentucky lost at home to South Carolina. He played 30 minutes, 3rd most minutes that game for Kentucky. Kentucky is now 10-6 and Kentucky coach Calipari is catching some heat. That's pretty amazing to me, I understand they aren't living up to expectations -right now-, but give it time and I would imagine they will be in the tourney and nobody will want to play them with all their athletes, he has one of the top recruiting classes every year.

Must not have been too serious because he played 35 minutes and had 12 points in the win against Florida.

I see he had another outstanding game last night against Arkansas, started, played 20 minutes, was 0 from 2 in 4 attempts and 0 from 3 in 2 attempts, but he did seem to run the floor OK and got a good cardio out of it in a 88-73 Arkansas whooping of Kentucky. Loved to see the Wildcat faithful empty out the arena will before the end of the game.
