Tulsa's offense bounces back with no turnovers against Bye but cannot score in the Red Zone, the Tulsa D holds Bye to zero total yards matching a Bye Week record.

Tulsa - 0

In years past I was all about joking about how we'd still run three times up the middle for no gain vs the stout BYE defense and then listening to Monty defend it with "We were taking what the defense was giving us".

No jokes this year. This team is better than the past but still has a lot of improvement to make. We need to ID a QB that gives us a chance of winning. I believe it to be Hayes, but the coaching staff believes it's someone else. We're good enough to win games against decent teams but we have little to no margin for error in any game if we want to win those games (see the NMSU game).

This team has potential. Last year, unfortunately, and I don't mean this as a slight to any of the players last year as the coaching staff failed to believe in them, didn't have any potential to win games and make a bowl. I know a lot of us think this team is better and there is still a bowl game in sight...but the margin is razor thin.

I predict Tulsa playing tough but out of the blue, wouldn't you know it, Kiefer comes in and steals the victory......just like that.
