Marshall would lose by 40 to either of those "****" teams. And Baylor was down to their 4th string QB vs a very talented Texas team that also beat top 4 Oklahoma, for 2 wins vs top 25 teams this year. When's the last time moo beat a top 25 team?

About the same. But we do better at our level of ball than WVU. Marshall is an upper G5 program and normally out produces the resources it gets. The 0-12 argument doesn't hold much water, half those games were played when we weren't born.
Fact is, for our level of football we do quite well. Our budget is small in comparison to most of the nation and yours. With your budget, facilities, and alumni base WVU IMHO underachieves more often than not. We don't have the capabilities year in and year out to compete with WVU. Coaches salaries alone set us apart. That's not to say both schools are bad programs because they're not. We are a state of 1.7 million, and most years both schools are successful in terms of wins and losses.

Not defending mediocrity, just explaining how conference standings work to a dumbass herd fan. The same dumbass herd fan that doesn't know how many teams are in the Big XII and Big 10. The same dumbass herd fan that thought Ga Southern was going to "skull ****" us. The same dumbass that thought TT was going to "destroy" us.
I am disappointed in our season. We should have never lost to Ok State and K State. The four teams ahead of us in our conference are all ranked in the top 20.
How many CUSA teams are ranked in the top 25 in the CFP poll?

I phone spell check I hate, but no I wasn't looking for that analogy. That analogy is for those who think they're better than they actually are, hence the reason you suggested it. 5th in the Cape Cod December invitational surfing championship I like though.

We are a member of a P5 conference, the best in FBS football are in the P5 conferences. This year we are middle of the pack for the most part, probably better than average when looking at all P5 schools (Purdue, Kansas, Vandy, Rutgers, MD, are all P5 schools too and we are WAY above the likes of those). The best surfers are going to go to Australia and if 10 of them go, we'd finish 5th.
Marshall fans are the ones that seem to have an issue with recognizing where they are in the world of college football. You play in the worst FBS conference and then schedule even worse OOC competition. You would be scared to even enter the Cape Cod Invitational.
You usually do better, that's a solid logic miss and your post even details why. The best go to Australia so you would not be there because, as you accurately point out, you certainly aren't one of the best. If ten go, as you say, you aren't one of the ten. Those ten, plus 1, are the teams in the NY6 bowls (excluding Houston as the access rep). There are 67 P5 teams, wvu is somewhere between 30-35, not just this year, but historically and going forward.
