I”d like to see the posters on here recalling on how this kid wasn’t worth keeping. I remember this site collectively saying I was stupid and took a hornet nest on how he was average. Looks pretty dominant for LSU..

Congrats.
Thanks. I like to win. I like the pieces on here calling us TE U when what Iowa state has is 100% better than us for 10 cents on the dollar.
watch the running backs today? We didn’t win.
This might be the worst set of running backs Nebraska has ever had. Hear anything from Nebraska media?
tells you everything you need to know about what’s wrong in Lincoln.

Both guys finished their respective games with 1 tackle. Ill take Nwaneri. Game plans matter. And Williams had equal or more penalty tham tackles.
Their teams won and you watched so they must be better individual players?

Both players left. They dont play here. Their coaches left. We replaced them with Nwaneri. Anyone not take that trade?
I am not sold on Ruhle either but this is s dumb stance.

Why is it that every srcub that tranfers, becomes a great player at his next school? ( Not eveyone, but you get the point). Coaching maybe?

Because he has coaching there. Here? Not so much. You were right.

It is the era of NIL and the transfer portal. Fluidity and chaos reign. Get used to seeing tons of players who, for whatever reason, blossom in their new team in ways they did not with their previous team. Happens now all the time.

I don’t give a crap about transfers. We got some good transfers ourselves. But I just want to win. I am not sold yet on Rhule. Talks a good game, but our play against Cincinnati did not instill me with confidence that this is our breakout season. Both lines were very average. Receivers still not able to get open because our run game still sucks and teams can drop 7-8 in coverage. It also does not help that our running backs are very mediocre. We have not had a truly great difference maker at that position since Abdullah. I don’t think our running backs coach can recruit worth a crap.

Our defensive line and offensive lines really need to step it up. If they don’t we are a 6-6 team again. The good news for me is I only live 2 hours away from the Pinstripe Bowl.

Williams set up camp in the Bama backfield all day long today, too

after managing zero sacks in our opener, it's safe to say we'll miss those two

I'm not sure why people thought we wouldn't. Butler was probably the one guy I'd love to have back from last years portal guys. Williams is a one dimensional pass rusher and I'd love to have that right now as well. People who dont/won't admit missing them is just a coping mechanism. It's ok I guess but I can be pretty honest with myself about it.

On another note has anyone looked back and seen how our transfer MLB looked? Watson- Trent I think is his name. He looked a few steps slow to me when we got him and he looked slow on the field as well. At the time I didn't think he was an upgrade to Gbayor.

Hubris is the only reason I can think of.

Jimari is second string at LSU. If I had to choose between having him for 2025 or having Nwaneri for 3-4 years, I’m the latter all day long.
People act like this is a video game. This is real life. There are tradeoffs. We don't have unlimited money. Sucks to to take a chance on a basketball player like Butler and build him up, only to have him leave for his last year, but that is life.

The question is was it an either or situation.

James had 1 tackle yesterday they had 3 total sacks and 2 were by linebackers on blitzes. Not sure you can actually say he set up camp in the backfield.

LSU’s D was aggressive, fast and hard hitting. FSU’s too. Each was fun to watch.

Congrats to the ex-Huskers.

I think the crappy part is...Rhule is supposed to be a glue guy, a CEO, he doesn't coach a position, isn't an expert at any part of the game of football, losing two good defensive players and two excellent coaches to a 2 win team who was at the bottom of college football is a kick in the teeth, and doesn't support the idea that Rhule manages the program well...especially with the Foley and Satt debacles. Reminds me of losing Wandale...people tried to make it sound like it wasn't a rejection of Frost, but in hindsight, Wandale was too good for the program and knew it.

FSU has been higher up on the college football totem pole for the past decade+
