A little birdie told me that the Burns Bulldogs Fans were barking on these threads about beating the Crest Chargers. You're all a bunch of redneck morons from watered down Belmont. Let me make this VERY clear to you. CREST WINS BY 14 and it will never be close. I don't care what you've done against the sorry schedule you have. History will continue to repeat itself as always, which means another DOMINANT Charger victory. I hate to piss on your parade this season, but this game won't be close.

Bye.

This really is no joke idiot...this is the worst Crest offense since the 90's and the defense is losing hope. The defense just doesn't care...I foresee a future job opening at Crest...

I like Burn's chances this year. Usually by this time in the season Crest is rolling up points in bunches. That isn't happening this year. Burns is getting better and better each week. Last night our passing game really came alive and our QB Cam showed what he can do. That young man played a killer game last night. More of that combined with what our ground game is capable of and the fact the game is at Burns and it just might be bad news for the ponies this year.

haha, good try on stirring the pot. Burns will just keep trying to get better. The fact that Burns has a shot this year speaks volumes of our coaching staff and kids buying in. once again Crest is Coach envy of Burns

Unless your Mallard Creek or Indy of the 8 to 10 years back or SP for that matter, every team around suffers from senior losses. I've seen from a distance at times rebuilding seasons for Crest an really seen it hard from some Burns teams. It happens. Crest will be back. Burns suffered last year but now their back. The Burns/Crest winner will be the team that wants it more and plays the cards right plus rivarlies bring out the best in some teams. Neither one will destroy the other. That's my two cents

Based on the results to date, Burns has to be the favorite against Crest.Crest is winning but each win has been a struggle against traditionally weaker programs. Kemmerlin played most of the game at QB against RS and hopefully, Coach Clark has made a decision at QB and will allow him to grow with the offense. He will continue to improve with more reps.

we had several injuries last night that hurt us on both sides of the ball and once again our offensive line was down right offensive. Peyton played a great game considering he was getting killed. If something isnt figured out about the line we are gonna be out of the playoffs and some may be out of a job.

The thing that hurts Crest is that when you got a school like Burns, or SP who definitely has less talent! But Crest can't pull their act together, it doesn't look good for the staff...then again the amount of head coach experience is questionable....from what I've heard. No idea if it's true.

I can see Bullard there in the Wildcat formation. Very quick kid. Lot of run options. Sounds like a decent idea.

I heard Burn's offensive line has been relocated to an undisclosed location to keep the Horseshoe Club from making contact with them.

Idk about that .....the kid is an athlete but with 2 qbs already is it a desperate move since he has not played q since elementary . I am glad i dont coach football in cc .....too much stress...lol

I don't consider it a QB position. It's a RB position same as Harrison ran but with probably more outside runs.

Bullard was one of the injuries. He was on crutches after the game. High ankle sprain is what i heard.

Oooooh. High ankle sprain? Dang man, that's rough, might not see him the rest of season depending on the extent...hoping for the best for the young man.

We lost Magale Friday too. Big loss if he's out for a while.
Our best player bbb who can play any position on the football field.. The way he went down i thought for sure a broke arm but its a dislocated elbow. Not good but he will for sure be back in 2 -3 weeks hopefully but not sure 100 percent . Definately wont see him Friday then we have a bye week.

I believe that if Hill is back to full speed, Magale will be missed more on the defensive side. Pretty much when he went back in on the Dline in the KM game, turned it back to the Bulldog side.

Burns #8 in the latest 3A AP Poll. I knew expectations where higher this year but yall have to be real pleased with this. Looks like things are looking up in the northern part of the county. Congrats.

Thanks shslion. I highly doubt anyone expected the amount of success we're having this year. I think everyone expected improvement of some sort though. Yes we've had an easy schedule, but the past couple years we've had the same schedule and came away with 6 combined wins. We're beating the teams we're supposed to beat, and blowing them out. Did you see who #9 in that poll was? LOL. Got to take advantage of that when I can, it doesn't happen very often.

Devine has already gotten Lawndale excited.. Heck they were excited mid-summer because of what he and his staff have already done..

What I like the most is, they contacted the Union and Upper Cleveland coaches, put on a clinic for the kids, had the coaches come over, wanted the same drills, plays, preparation, offensive sets, defensive sets to be used even at the mighty mite level (Within reason of course).... That my friends, is what will make all these kids, when they suit up at the high school level, "Ready" for the Bulldog way....that will pay off huge for them in years to come without a doubt....

They took the time (every coordinator, and position coaches) to meet with everyone explain how they do things, didn't hesitate when asked if they could provide some basic Burns plays for the kids at Union and UC to run.... Couldn't be more appreciative and the pay off will be tremendous one of these days.. There was a time when our kids weren't allowed on the field at Burns during picture day, (yes it happened) but now UC and Union are allowed to play their home games on the Burns field....

Want to see some excited kids, come over to Lawndale during a home game on a Saturday and watch those kids take the field, with the Burns announcer Tony calling their names, and playing music throughout., and even Coach Devine and Coach Leonhardt coming out from their film study to watch a few moments of the games...... That means the world to these kids.... Happy little Shelby Lion equals happy daddy....

Right now I would have Devine as the NC coach of the year.
I have to agree SHS and for sure coach of the year in the SMAC. These wins happened in May, June and July. The summer work expected of these kids was unlike any of them had ever seen. Some of us close to the program knew winning was possible with this group of seniors since so many of they were thrown in to the fire as sophomores. Add Devine coming on board, Coach Pack coming back and Coach Cog manning the defense once again and its came together.
