Buchanan County School Superintendent Arrested

WCYB TV Bristol, VA reported today that Buchanan Co School Superintendent Tommy Hurley was arrested by the Virginia State Police for public intoxication at the county school board offices in Grundy. Apparently
Mr. Hurley was at work, and was reported to authorities, and subsequently arrested for public intoxication.
Preliminary reports stated Mr Hurley is 75 years old, and was later released on his on recoginatces.

It is not Mr. Hurley, it is Mr. Justus who was quickly replaced by a very young and attractive lady. I can't wait for the rest of the story, as Paul Harvey would say.

Honestjohn, you are correct, it was Mr Tommy Justus, not Mr Hurley. Hurley is where he lives. My error. Local events such as this does not occur often, but when it does, it makes for interesting news. What I thought was so interesting was this gentleman was 75 years old! Probably the oldest school superintendent in the USA!

Mr. Justus had retired as Superintendent a few years ago and was pretty much drug back to the job.

Honestjohn, thanks for the info on Mr Justus, and what you said makes some sense; one may say how does that make sense , well several years ago I worked with an elderly individual who had cancer, and when the pain became so great the person could not bear it, the door would close and that person would take a nip. All the empoyees knew of the situation, and no harm was done. It was not the most correct way to deal with the pain, but back in the
1970's, pain med was not as available to cancer patients as it is today.
This is probably not the case here, but strange things do happen.
