Boone twins were very good. I was surprised at how good the handle was on the shorter one. Both need to gain weight. Trey Phipps looked really good as well.

Great game thus far. D1 athletes all over the floor. Bryce, Boone brothers, and don’t sleep on Trey Phipps.
I went to High School with Conley Phipps. He was a Sr my Fr year. Nice to see him and his son doing so well.

I’ve known them both for about 9 years. Hopefully Trey grows a few more inches and becomes a high D1 recruit.

I think ORU already offered him. Can't remember which college Conley went to, was it ORU or one of the other two?(OU or OSU)

Agree on Bereal...from what I've seen from BTW, he looks better than anyone around, including Thompson.

I was baffled that he signed with Boise.

I saw the game. Bryce two layups and about 0-11 from the three. Phipps had about 25 points and I would definitely offer him.

Boone twins are going to be good D-1 players too. Not sold on Bereal or Hurd yet.

We pass on too many good little guards just because of their size. I’m thrilled we are getting one in two years.

Hopefully we have a good shot at all four of those I mentioned. Thompson, Phipps, Kalib Boone and Keylan Boone.

Coaches don’t value shooting enough imo. Phipps is the best shooter in the Oklahoma 2020 class. He will help the team who signs him. Reminds me of a Keiton Paige or a Rotney Clarke with better talent around him.

My wife taught with him when he coached at Cleveland. The teachers called him 2 since his dad, Conley Sr, had just recently coached there. I wouldn't be surprised if 'Trey' is actually Conley III.

I was referring to 2 that I went to high school with. Conley senior was the coach at the time. Just in case you were misunderstanding. I think you were referring to 'his dad coached at Cleveland' What did your wife teach, I might have had a class with her.

She taught English. Her first year at the high school was 2’s senior year. That would have been 83/84. I’m pretty sure she only taught freshman that year, so there’s a good chance you had her class. She taught there until 2013.

Seals was hired to recruit the local athletes. Time for him to step up and earn his salary!

Bereal is like a less developed Bryson Pope. He got better but man alive, he was not good last year. He started out at Holland Hall and you could tell. He could end up being really good, but you could say the same thing about anyone. He has a lot further to go and than players coming in, notably Zeke Moore.

Thompson needs to work on shooting. I’m worried he gets Juwan Parker’d. Super-hyped early on, doesn’t ever get better at shooting and then feels compelled to go to whatever High major program offers him. I didn’t watch yesterday. Does he still have that hitch in his shot?

Yeah, go get Phipps. His dad started out at NSU and then transferred to OU, if I remember right.

Didn’t Thompson have a great shooting game in the semis? Seems I read he had 6 or 7 3s against Classen.

I don’t think Haith undervalues shooting. His system is predicated in having a lot of guys who can shoot from outside.

Thompsons shot getting better as he gets stronger. He had a very bad finals but played on a severe ankle injury he sustained Friday in the semis when he lit it up. He lit it up in the quarters also.
