Why does BTN+ feel so lifeless and local cable TV 1980s broadcast? The audio is so dead. They should have a better production for what we have to pay.

I don’t know if it’s the same for every school but Nebraska stuff on BTN+ is all done by the school and the media/journalism students. Watch one at Northwestern sometime but only if you have insomnia.

I have no idea if this is accurate but it wouldn’t surprise me if the only mics we hear are the announcers mics on BTN+ broadcasts and that there aren’t any mics in place on/near the court to pick up things like additional crowd noise, players yelling out, etc.

Yeah they're all school produced but they should be better. A lifeless production due to the equipment not the commentators. The audio is dead

To be honest. Seems better and more professionally done to me than the Texas game on ESPN right now

That could be the issue. It sounds lifeless.

The crowd noise was absent for the first few minutes, but got way better after the first break.
