HUNTINGTON #9

Population: 49,136
Unemployment rate: 5.6%
Median income: $29,149
Crime index: Worst 25% in West Virginia

Huntington is the most populated city on this list, and second only to Charleston in terms of population.

Huntington has the worst weather in the state. Additionally, its residents earn far less salaries than the rest of the state, and crime is well above West Virginia state averages.

I know........ let's put a college here!

Hahahahahaahahaha....."far worst weather", could you possibly use a more subjective standard? Additionally your statement that " its residents earn far less than the rest of the state is just not true"! Couldn't help that almost any place of any size in the state made the rather questionable list.

Don't cry to me. I didn't write the article, or evaluate the cities/towns. Don't shoot the messenger. I'm just surprised it's 9th. I always assumed it was #1. I've been there.

Flaws? I agree.... Huntington got a pass if you ask me. But, I didn't do the analysis. Apparently, they rank the towns in a lot, if not all, states. Heady work for the muffler boys in Morgantown, WV. But, anything bad that has ever happened to Huntington, or Marshall has always been attributed to a conspiracy with its origins in Morgantown. LOL..... Maybe Oliver Luck works on their research staff.....
