Very wise decision by Shamari. Running backs have a limited timeline due to health concerns created by the rigors of the position. I’m know we all wish him well.

Absolutely. He was healthy and playing well to close out the season. There is no better time for him to give it a shot.

He might get a shot at the CFL but I doubt it.

Hopefully he gets invited to a camp to show what he can do.
That itself is more than most guys get.
Really good blocker, nice hands catching ball out of the backfield, tough runner but no real NFL break away speed and undersized. Needs to get a shot with the right team to make the practice squad and hope for a break.

Let’s not trash our former players please. Brooks was a great running back for us and let’s acknowledge and praise him for that. He stayed loyal the whole way and isn’t transferring.
Dude was a warrior. Played hard every down. Really appreciate all the hard work he put in to rehab and get back on the field. He will be successful in whatever he chooses to do.
And, again, I hope he gets a camp invitation or at least a tryout. Then he can put it all out there and let the chips fall where they fall.
