Oregon State: Source tells FootballScoop Nebraska linebackers coach Trent Bray is headed back to Corvallis. Bray previously served on Mike Riley’s staff at Oregon State before heading with him to Nebraska. The former Beaver linebacker is expected to work with the linebackers and is expected to serve as defensive coordinator or co-defensive coordinator source tells FootballScoop.
Bray did a pretty solid job replenishing the LB core after our 2nd-to-last former coach left it a barren wasteland. Good luck to him, I hope one day he takes over Oregon State.
From everything I heard Bray was universally respected: players, coaches, administration. Best of luck to him as he continues to grow as a coach and mentor.
Bobby will land on his feet in a better job, in a better place watch and see! Bobby is a genius when it comes to D.
Seemed like a good guy and probably decent coach that got hamstrung by two marginal DCs. Too bad he didn't land in a different spot to get some of the Oregon St tarnish off of him.
Alabama would be interesting landing spot for Diaco. They need a DC and play the 3-4.
I don't blame what happened at NU on Bobby, he is a Formula 1 type racer who was forced to drive a Yugo.
Too bad sometimes he was racing against other Yugos and still failed.
Bob E was a guru kind of guy. His death was a significant blow to the season.

Agreed. We're probably the minority on this opinion. Most people thought very highly of Bray.
Then someone tell me the last time a Bray coached linebacker flew around making plays lol. Most of the time we could've just played 7 dbs and got better results than Brays linebackers, and I think there is talent there.
Were else do coaches from Oregon St go after failure with the bright lights of Nebraska in the B1G? Everybody has got to eat. If your plate is still on the table...
