We are going to beat ACU and Mississippi and end up 6-6. In modern college football, that's a bowl game.
Considering Alabama, LSU and Georgia are probably New Years 6 bound.
Florida has a decent shot at making the New Years 6.
Auburn is headed to the Citrus Bowl
That means the Group of 6 bowls: Liberty, Music City, Belk, Outback, Texas and Gator are going to be looking for six teams.
Texas A&M is officially bowl eligible.
Missouri is all but bowl eligible.
Kentucky needs 1 vs. Vanderbilt or Tennessee
Tennessee has a good shot - needs 2 vs. UK, Vanderbilt and Missouri
State needs ACU and Ole Miss
South Carolina needs 2 vs. App State, A&M and Clemson
Arkansas is officially out. Ole Miss and Vanderbilt are all but out (both have top 10 teams left on schedule and cannot lose)
Its likely that at least one, maybe 2 of the G6 bowl games will not have an SEC team. State will not go to a Florida bowl, so the likely candidates are Liberty, Music City, Texas and Belk.
Liberty Bowl and Texas Bowls would be against a Big 12 opponent
Music City and Belk Bowls would be against an ACC opponent
There is an outside chance at a B1G going to the Music City, but it's unlikely.
ACC teams that are on our tier: Boston College, Louisville, Miami
Big 12 teams on our tier: TCU. Big 12 will not be able to fill all of their spots, so if we end up in the Liberty, the backup bid goes to the American runner-up (Cincy or Memphis)
So would you rather go play Boston College or Louisville in Nashville, or play a top 25 Memphis team in Memphis?
