Per Boston tonight, he has worn No. 42 for most of his college career. With Jake Knapp wearing it for his entire UNC tenure he took number 17. When he was younger his grandfather talked with Mrs. Robinson —of Jackie Robinson— and sent Boston a letter about her happiness of wearing the number. Now that Jake is gone, and with Jake's ok, Boston now wears No. 42 both to honor Jake and Jackie.
