Going to be a wet weekend, so it looks like they will start early today with a doubleheader (2pm) and if they are fortunate enough to get the games in, game 3 will be Saturday also at 2pm.

They might get one in today - that would be great. Two would be a miracle. Saturday doesn’t look doable (at the moment).
I was thinking the same thing myself. It might take a miracle to get 2 in. This series could take every inch of the next 3 days to get in.

Moth was saying the 23 minute weather delay plus the long, high scoring inning by the Cards got Forbes out of rhythm.
Its now 9 to 4 in the 3rd because the Cards pitching is bad, very bad.Wow! Game 2 and we’re on our 12th batter in the bottom of the first inning! Oops - I jinxed Rose, so we’re only up 8-0!.
Given up two opposite field right field home runs - almost exactly the same spot both times. Don’t see that very often!

Eberle is pitching pretty well IMO. Still don’t like EJK in the OF. That first game…I mean, it just comes down to inconsistency with the pen. Gotta find those guys they can rely on.

Freshman pitcher Eberle is battling - his first start! Doing a great job of throwing strikes in this game. BC is hitting a few of them (5 hits including the 2 home runs), but with the big lead he’s got, Eberle is doing a great job of limiting the walks - just one through four innings.
Yeah, we all know that the pitching out of the pen is bad and you've nailed it. It looks like Mac and Williams are moving on in another direction away from a lot of the vets. This is what we were talking about, the offense carrying the team while these coaches can figure out who's gonna be a big part of the bullpen in the second half of the season...and they are.
Offense carries this team until these youngsters get game experience and some moxy.
As far as Biven, I would expect to maybe see him tonight. Idk,maybe he's hurt too.
