I'm at a Super Bowl party. I check my phone and we're up 10 early in the 3rd. And then what check happened???? They let Minn. Go on an 18-2 run???? Disgusting.

Arella got hurt. Caitlin Jenkins is suspended and didn’t play the entire game. We got out rebounded, starting turning the ball over, got outscored by 20 points from the free throw line. That’s about it.

Winning ugly replaced by losing ugly against an opponent who had no pulse in the first half.

When the team looks lackluster, try SOMETHING. Play Calhoun and Giles!

They played, just not well. Giles no longer looks for her offense for some reason and Calhoun has fallen in love with the 3.

There were lineups used yesterday that cViv had never used before and it was just altogether disjointed. CC is our engine and when she’s not in for long stretches, there is no flow. I thought Zippy had some good minutes running the team and scoring but looks lost defensively.

Any idea how long Caitlin is out for?

That’s a BAD loss. Period. No spinning this one. Gophers were 3-7 in conference play going into last night and we get taken behind the woodshed in the 2nd half OUTSCORED by 20. Yikes!

I see RU going 4-3/3-4 the rest of the way

Maryland...L
Ohio State....W
at Indiana....L
at Michigan....L or W
Wisconsin....W
Minnesota....W
at Ohio State L

RU is a bad road team...I dont see them beating Indiana and Michigan and or Ohio State are the kind of schools we lose to on the road even if they are having down years. I see Maryland taking care of RU at home given how RU has played of late and they have the potential to beat us pretty good.

Not sure what is going on with the CVS tinkering of a lineups but its way too late in the season for this

21-8/13-5 or 20-9/12-6 will be enough for a NCAA bid this year and looks close but 11-5 should be enough for that all important first round bye

Has there been a game where we haven’t had 2 people or more suspended. I’m all for Cviv and discipline but at some point you have to say - was them being 5 mins late to practice worth sanctioning the whole fanbase for? Waiting years for a conference championship. They’re all good girls let them play cmon

Could be they stay good girls because Vivian holds them to the type of standards that keep the program out of trouble.

We see what can happen when wins are placed over holding the players accountable for their actions and sometimes it hurts a program enough that winning isn't the problem to worry about, but what the NCAA might do is what brings the worry.
Holding players accountable for what they do off the court sometimes means keeping them off the court
Not doing that can lead to bigger problems the discipline that has RUWBB 17-5 (9-2) should be applauded , not knocked because of a bad loss.

Rutgers has a chance to be an NCAA Tourney team, discipline is one of the reasons it is

But to keep with the theme of this thread, Rutgers dropped down to #20 from being #17 before losing to Minnesota and for that the team and coaching staff deserves a boo-hiss :chairshot:
