Rosey definitely sounded pissed off today, this is probably the first time he's spoke his mind all season. I'll save you some time, fast forward to about 45 minutes in.

I’ll have to listen later this week, but when you repeatedly stick up for a guy that keeps burning you over and over, it has a way of eventually pissing you off

I don’t know exactly why it’s taken this long for certain people to read the tea leaves that have been flat out slapping us in the face for over a year, but better late than never I guess

Quotes from Steve on the show:

“There has to be MASSIVE change at Mississippi State when it comes to our football program...MASSIVE change.”

“We hired Joe Moorhead to run an innovative offense. We have not been innovative offensively in two years.”

“We have to have MASSIVE change. We can’t have peripheral change just to quiet a few voices on social media.”

“We have a CULTURAL problem at Mississippi State.”

“If that means that we’ve got to change coaches then so be it.”

“We have to do what is best for Mississippi State, and if that means that Mississippi State has to do something that is nearly unprecedented and make a coaching change at this time of the year, after a bowl game, then that’s what you have to do.”

Wow. Hope it’s ok to post that, but John Cohen needs to know that once a guy like Moorhead has lost the Gene’s and Steve’s of the fanbase it’s pretty much over. Pull the plug.

Rose bowl and a few other media members have been part of the problem toting party line. They have been enabling. They have been feeding narratives all season. And as I have said all year don’t piss on my leg and tell me it’s raining.

It almost makes me think Steve knows something big is coming.
I don't listen to the Boneyard all the time- this title got my attention- but I don't remember him being this openly critical before.

After two years of watching this offense, who in their right mind would even want to keep him on as an OC? This is his professed competency and it's been an abject failure against all but the weakest competition. If you wouldn't hire him as a coordinator, keeping him on as a HC is beyond insane.

It was certainly worth a listen. Steve didn't pull any punches and basically said what we have all observed and said. Maybe not to the point of calling for an out right firing of Moorhead but he did say if that is what's needed then do it. Said Keenum and Cohen have a lot of soul searching to do.

If Steve has stepped off the party line, something may be afoot at the Circle K, Ted.

I'm critical of Rosie sometimes, but I salute him for saying what needed to be said. Respect.

All the blue hairs on GP will now adopt his argument as their own.

He really laid it out there. Even placed blame on underachieving in 2018 with the No.1 defense in the country.

Kudos Steve. Good on ya.

Thanks for the DIY transcript. It’s much appreciated.

Especially for someone like myself who prefers transcripts/written word over podcasts.

I just wish podcasters issued transcripts— but that’s not going to happen I know.

I often get annoyed with Steve because is often the sunshine pumper and I feel pushes out a lot of narratives the administration feeds him. Part of that is actually to Steve’s credit. He is clearly plugged into the program and has strong sources within. He breaks a lot of news so If he is saying something, we should be listening.

They are regrouping as I type.

Steve can say anything but it better not be said by anyone else.

So you’re saying he’s the officially unofficial good cop? **

Or bad cop depending on what side of the narrative you believe.

MASSIVE thinking there... wish our administration had done some MASSIVE thinking and changes after the Egg Bowl.

I don't believe Rosie has been overly supportive of Moorhead this year. He hasn't been very critical, but I remember a post game presser earlier in the year where he asked a question about our special teams issues and Moorhead kind of blew it off as a stupid question. I think he lost Rosie's support (or at least some of it) at that point.

If I'm Cohen, Moorhead better have one hell of an action plan for their end of season meeting or IB needs to give him the hook. If this melonhead comes in feeling that there were accomplishments this season, he needs to go. Every position group other than RB was worse than last year.

So basically he's saying what most of us have been saying for 3 months now. Hopefully, this is a sign the pressure on Moorhead is heating up. Maybe not right now, but maybe 6-6 next fall won't be enough to save him.

Per Steve -- "Rest assured there will be change at Miss St. How extensive that change is remains to be seen, but I believe right now that there are some decisions being made to right the ship." "Keenum and Cohen are two of the most competitive people I know and they hear you and see the same things you do. They know we've got to have a change in culture here at Miss St. You can rest assure in that."

I typed it pretty much word for word as he went off the podcast. Steve doesn't normally go full rogue with his own opinion so I tend to think he has some information that something fairly substantial is going to be done. Will be interesting to at least watch over the next week to see what, if anything, unfolds.

Joe put out happy new year on his Twitter, and he's getting destroyed. I don't see how he can dig himself out of the bashing, he has to see what everyone is saying.

I have no idea if it was Rosie or not, but I do remember a question about ST after the Auburn game I think, and in spite of it being a complete cluster throughout the game, Moorhead gave a response like he had no idea as to what was being asked.

He gave some response like “are you talking about the missed field goal? Was there something else that happened that I missed?” Whoever asked the question was so dumbfounded at that point that he just let it go.

It was mainly just a bunch of random people, though he did have a few supporters but way more negative than positive.

One thing I’m personally getting really tired of hearing is how we’re all idiots if we think Keenum and Cohen are satisfied. Whether we’re talking about Joe, stadium entry, or even beer sales, sitting back and doing nothing is all that they’ve shown us this season.

If they’re not happy, show us. Until then, don’t blame State fans for calling you complacent

Actually, from my personal interactions with one the last couple of days, that’s exactly what’s happening.
