What are you talking about? Just means less competition for urban.**

If I was FSU, I would hire Freeze, much closer to Tampa.

That’ll give Mullen a pucker factor of 10, to have to recruit against Stoops

Pucker?

Nah, he’s never been worried about recruiting

I'm not sure if FSU is smart enough to actually pull this off.
If so, it's just what they need.

Bet he was there to pitch his brother (Mark) to FSU. I heard him to a radio interview a couple weeks ago and he didn't seem like he wanted to be college HC again. Kinda surprised he's doing the XFL, but it's not like he's under pressure to perform in the XFL and I can't imagine it's as demanding as being an NFL or NCAA HC.

Pitch his brother Mark to FSU?

Mark spent 3 seasons there as the defensive coordinator. I seriously doubt Bob was there or needs to "pitch" his brother to the FSU administration. Mark, Jimbo, James Coley, Dameyune Craig, DJ Eliot, Eddie Gran, and Lawrence Dawsey all recruited that 2013 team that saw all 22 starters make it to the NFL.

Once all the assistants for Jimbo started to accept other jobs...that's when things started spiraling for Jimbo...especially Offensive Line talent/coaching. Plus Jimbo knew he wanted out at Tallahassee with continuous disagreements with their athletic administrations budget priorities.

Which led to Jimbo leaving and a disastrous gamble to hire Willie Taggart.

FSU has had a small list of potential coaches for some time now and Stoops apparently has been in the works for several weeks.

He's got Hev to handle the heavy lifting there.
