While at RU as a player he coached our USY,little Jewish guys team , in Highland Park in 1969 and 1970. I swear to God he looks and sounds exactly the same .An absolutely great guy and I like him center stage on the mic.

In Bob's words, the Rutgers administration at the time made recruiting extremely difficult. We had standards at the time that made it very hard to get kids into Rutgers even though they were qualifiers under the NCAA. I think in fairness to Bob, people beat him up for recruiting but he had one hand tied behind his back.

Very cordial guy. He stopped in the breezeway at half-time to gab with 3 long-time fans who have been holding court there below Section 203 at half-time for the last 25 or so years. A wonderful gesture.
