The team shot a great 55.2%, a nice 72.2% from the line and an excellent 42.9% from 3 (albeit on just 7 attempts). They had 35 rebounds, 18 assists, 6 blocks 13 turnovers (10 in the 1st half) and 8 steals.

The four double-digit scorers all shot over 50%, and shot 56.5% overall.

The Fighting Illini shot 40.4%, a fine 40.9% from 3 and a not so hot 50.0% from the line. They had 26 rebounds, 15 assists (on 21 baskets, very nice), 1 block, 21 turnovers and 4 steals.

You'd think a game in which both teams had 4 double-digit scorers would be close, but RU's top 4 almost had as many points as the entire Illinois team. Turnovers and contributions from other players (25 points for RU v. 8 for the Fighting Illini) made the difference.

A great stat from the AP story:

The Scarlet Knights had 10 turnovers in the first half, but didn't have its 11th until the 6:20 mark of the second.


Really nice to see Scaife have a good game. Now we just need Canty to re-find her footing, and the team will start to look real good

Not saying anything harsh but Canty to me doesn't seem like a scorer. Didn't watch tonight but seems her shots are line drive like.

Anyway, glad Scaife had a good game. Laney continues to be tough and Copper continues her tear. Keep it up!

A few interesting combinations on the floor last night, even before it was a blowout.
At one point Scaife, Davis and Parker were all in.
At another Butts and Evans were both in.
Haven't had enough comfortable leads for Stringer to do things like this often.
Also nice when the players who don't see the floor much get a chance to play
