Blackstone griddle

I bought me a small griddle a few weeks ago. So far so good… let me just say, a smash burger is the only way to go.

I love mine, too. Don’t think I seasoned it well the first time, which has caused some minor issues. But a smash burger, some southern style breakfast or hibachi on it makes for a dang fine meal! Fun to cook, too.

The main reason I bought it was to go outside and cook some bacon in the morning for breakfast. I figured I’d find other uses as well. I’ve been able to get it up to about 600 degrees, so it works pretty good to sear off a steak too. I have not tried hibachi yet but I probably will once it cools downs a little

That is exactly why I bought one. I hate cooking bacon in the house because of the smell afterwards. That and I can take it with the camper or tent camping.

I used one to cook burger for our team during the summer. I didn’t have all the tools, and I was cooking for over 60 people, but man it made a mess. And I couldn’t get rid of the grease quick enough. If I had one it would definitely be a breakfast and hibachi grill.

I love my black stone. I’ve loved everything I’ve ever made on it….. with the exception of the smash burger. I can’t tell if it’s just my technique or if they’re massively overrated. But I’ve found myself preferring a grilled burger.

I bought one Friday while in Jackson for a horse show at the coliseum. I cooked on it for every meal and I absolutely love it so far. It heats up super fast and you can cook dang near anything on it and it cleans up easily. It has a permanent place in the horse trailer from now on.

I’ve wondered recently when people are going to finally start building these into their kitchens next to the stovetop. Most obviously wouldn’t need the monstrosities you’ll find in a hibachi restaurant, but having something the size of maybe two burners would be awesome for breakfasts, sandwiches, or even heating up certain leftovers

There’s nothing worse than cooking bacon on Sunday morning, then grabbing your jacket off the coat rack on Monday and smelling like bacon all day.

I rented a house once that seemed like a 1950s "home of the future." Lots of weird appliances and fixtures. Had a fold up griddle built into the stove, that covered 2 of the gas outlets. We played Waffle House a lot.

Had mine for over a year and really like it. As others have stated stir fry and bacon are our go to's along w/ fajita's. Here's one for you though, wings. Cut the wing tips off leaving just the drum and flat where they will lay flatter and use the tips for broth later. Spray the wings w/ cooking spray or baste w/ oil and season the wings as usual and then roll them in corn starch and toss them on the griddle. They come off just like fried chicken, good and crispy. Todd Toven on the Blackstone YouTube channel has some pretty good recipes and instructions too. He's kind of loud and over the top but still good content
