I don't usually do this sort of thing, but figured where else to get the answer I need than ScarletNation!

We are strongly considering moving out of Section 118 for the upcoming season to another location in the 100's

We've had our seats in 118 since 1995, and JK and I got engaged there. That section has a truly personal connection with us, and we have many friends within its rows. We love the view and the proximity to the bench.

That said, the time might be now to move into another spot, or risk missing out on that chance as Pikiell turns the program around. The seats we are looking at are very nice in their own right.

To move or not to move...thoughts?

BK - It's not like you won't be at every game and get to visit with those folks in 118.

If you think the seats you would move to give you better view or whatever I say do it now.

Even though I'm in Gilbert, AZ I still have my football tix & with the good vibes around the program with Pike I think I'm going to buy season tix at the RAC this year

Go for the better seats. I am also in 118 and would love to be able to get your seats.

I'd change your handle from BKIn118 to BKOnTheEndOfTheBench.

Its time to move on to better seats and I'm sure you and Janice will begin a new era with a new court view. To say you earned it, would be a big understatement. Enjoy!!!

Dude, with the amount of time and support you give to the program, they should give you a gold throne at the end of the bench. And throne, I mean toilet!!! But upgrade man, you've put the time in and deserve it!! Live it up!!

Say it ain't so, BK!

I sat in 118 (near BK) for many years before giving up my seats for financial reasons two years ago [three kids, one of whom is heading to college this year (yes, RU!)], and I absolutely LOVE it down there. The proximity to both the Rutgers bench and to the court is superb, as you get a real feel for the game and the players and coaches. I remember we used to keep track of how long Mike Rice would keep his suit jacket on before chucking it on his chair -- usually just a couple of minutes. And watching the coaches "work" the refs is priceless (Rice was, again, worth the price of admission). We got to know the yellow jackets who patrolled the area, and who can forget watching Taryn Hatcher deliver her game reports from the end line area.

Were it not for financial considerations, I would still be in Section 118, Row E. The only other reason I could see giving up that incredible location is the fact that it is pretty uncomfortable sitting on those darn bleachers, and for us guys pushing 50, it's a real pain in the a$$ (literally).

If you do decide to move, BK, it won't be the same not seeing you and Janet in Row C anymore.

Section 114 has some openings...come on by. Row E 11/12 I think are wide open. Center court view!

If you really think RU will finally turn the corner, keep your current tickets AND buy the new ones in 114 or so. Sell them as you see fit and sit wherever you want. There will be a market for them if the team is good.

Last time I checked, the two seats next to me are open. Best available. Would love to have you and Janet as neighbors.

Why don't you first try trading off part of your season tickets with someone in another section to see if you really miss it.

BK -- don't take this the wrong way, but you're not as young as you used to be. I think you'll like the seatbacks in your new seats.

From my spot in section 115, row H, I'm so used to looking over there and seeing you with your wife. I always think to myself "what did this woman do to deserve this?" lol.
As others have said, I think the main reason you should move to the sideline is to get a full blown seat instead of a bleacher. As you get older, you'll appreciate it. From 115 or parts of 114, I think you'll still be able to get a good view of the bench.

After all you two have done, you and Janet should be allowed to sit wherever you want in the entire freakin' building

First off...thank you all for your support, kind words and input here!

I have many good friends in section 118, and have celebrated so many great moments in life there...so even thinking about moving was a big step!

That said...in 2017/2018, JK and I will be taking our "talents" to section....102

Not really much available down low on the RU side, so we did the best we could with our selection. If I could afford mrslate's tix, I'd have taken him up on that offer for sure!

Again, thank you to all who chimed in...much appreciated! For what it's worth...I'm "In118" for life!

102 are the black seats with backs on them, yes?

As somebody else mentioned that has to better for you and your bride's back going forward.

But to be honest (and probably speaking for a lot here) it would be nice for Rutgers to say, "Nah, we're going to put you two here instead. Courtside."

Brian, my wife and I were in 102 row K for 3 years. The rows in back of us were Comp seats so you never saw the same people there game to game. I think Mike Williams family was there once and some of our Women's players a few other times. A number of times Kevin Lorincz wife and kids sat next to us. Nice family.
We moved back up to 203 where we had been for over 25 years before deciding to move down to the 100 level in 105. We later moved to 102 when the band and DJ noise
got to be unbearable. We left 102 just to cut down on expenses and because we got a better view of the entire court from being almost at center court and higher up than the 100 level seats. I think you'll like 102. There are some very nice people there.

Well, you will still be pretty close to me in 102. Hopefully me jumping up and down all the time won't block your view. Congratulations.
