An editorial in the Washington Post on Tuesday argued that people in the country illegally are needed for menial labor. "Those include the fact that at least 8 million unauthorized immigrants are employed, most have been in this country for 15 years or longer, and typically they do jobs — tending crops, washing dishes, mowing lawns — that native-born Americans do not want," the Post said. "In basic economic terms, illegal immigrants meet the labor market's demand for lower-wage employees, for which there is a shortage of available legal workers."
Its more than filling the demand for low paying jobs. Many of the jobs they fill are in the construction trades and the meat and produce industries. And a lot of those jobs pay a good wage.

Cheap labor is the REAL reason all recent Presidents did not push for mass deportations. The Dems played it very smart.... Play the humanitarian card........Play the let them have all privileges card.......Let them have a vote..........Gee, I wonder who they will vote for.....Brilliant.

You guys are clueless, how do you explain away the dismal GOP polling with younger people and women? there aren't enough angry old white guys to carry ya anymore and your outreach of "build that wall" and "what have you got to lose" aren't exactly working! lol.

You know, the guy who before he ran for president was governor of Texas and pushed through an anti-immigrant bill with specific exceptions for domestic and landscape workers? And they can't vote unless they're citizens. SMFH at the continued ignorance.
