When TU signed DaQuan, many TU posters were pretty critical of the lack of high D1 teams recruiting him.

Bill Lowery stuck to his guns, and had to send about 124,931 replies assuring this message board of DJ’s multiple talents.

MAJOR kudos to Bill for his eye!

DaQuan is an outstanding player with a professional future.

TU will miss another postseason, but not because of DaQuan. Wish we had 5 more of him...

Yeah that was silly. The JUCO recruiting people had him ranked high. That wasn’t enough to satisfy the haters on this board.

People should be hating on all the schools that passed on him coming out of HS so that he really only had the choice of going to ORU if he was going to play D1. Of course, ORU has 2-3 players that would look good in a TU uniform. Nzekwesi and Obanor could add size and some offensive skill. I've always like Nzekwesi's game, Obanor has some real potential as well.

Jeffries only problem was the Etou tendency to disappear for large segments of time and in certain games. It seemed that when he was "fired up" he could take over the game.

Yeah, I think that's one of his problems, he's too passive.

The only criticism I remember was that he wasn't VJ Bailey. I was more excited for his commitment than any we'd had since James Woodard.
