We’re gonna run this like an NFL program. I’m probably the best to ever do it. Send your boys to my program and we’ll be winning championships, right before I send them to the NFL draft of course. Stand back while I show these college boys a thing or two!

(5 games later….🤡 show)

Bill was the goat in the NFL. He's not suited for college. Saban was the goat in college. He was not suited for the NFL. Both should have just stayed in their lane. Bill has enough on his plate with a crazy 20 year old GF. He'll be gone soon enough.

I will never blame a guy for taking a job when someone is offering him that job and a bunch of money.

The people doing the hiring are the ones that should end up getting canned.
I would guess both AD’s at UNC as well as Colorado have been experiencing sleepless nights due to the performance of its school’s football teams.

I would imagine you are correct.

They went for the homerun hire and I totally get it. But it doesn't seem to be working.

It’s kind of funny to look back on his career. I’ve come to the conclusion that he is a guy who loves the limelight, but at his discretion.

he was surly toward reporters during his career with the patriots, and then loves to be in front of the camera as soon as is in NFL career is over.

I think he treated Carolina as a proving ground. Deep down, he wants more credit for that dynasty and his jealous of Brady.

Better a Mike Elko than a Neon Dieon or Bill Belicheck, assuming the metric is stability and sustained winning.

Then you have someone like Mike Riley that isn’t very good at both but somehow keeps getting hired

Your last paragraph is spot on . After Brady went to TB and won . He heard all the talk it was Brady and Not him. He wanted to prove people wrong. So far he hasn’t.

I think there is a lot of truth to this.

He also might be getting scared of getting old. Like, we have all seen it, people we know/love, they retire and the start to age in dog-years.

The dude should have ridden off into the sunset with his fat stacks and not given a damn what people said about him. He's 73... he needs to let it go.

I thought Dan Patrick said something interesting on his radio show, today. Dan said he was surprised Saban did not try harder to talk Belichick out of taking the UNC job. He went on to say Saban left a school where he had won national championships and he no longer liked the new rules. It is obvious Bill is just out-of-step with modern college football. (Maybe Saban tried talking Belichick out of taking the job and Bill didn't listen.)

Bill should have retired after Brady left. It’s all been downhill since then. All he has done is give the doubters more ammunition that he was only good because of Brady.

I remember reading that Julian Edleman and Gronk were asked of Bill would work at as a college coach and they said “hell no” They said kids need a mentor in college and Bill is a shut up and do your job kind of guy.

Bill holds such a grudge with The Pats that he has banned the UNC media department from talking about them.

So, the university is not allowed to promote the success of Drake Maye.

Yeah, Bill is a stupid old prick.

There was a guy at the bar I hang out at who would go on and on about how NU should have outbid Colorado for Deion Sanders to coach for us. I kept telling him it wasn't gonna work long term, but he'd just get mad. Haven't seen that guy lately otherwise I would say I told you so.

Yeah, F that guy. We all knew Sanders was a hollow fraud.
