We are in 6th now, looks like we could go as high as 6th, a win on Sunday we could finish tied for 4th, downside seems to be 8th place

anyone have an analysis of the scenarios?

If Rutgers beats PSU and Iowa and Ohio State go 1-1. Rutgers gets the double bye by virtue of going 1-0 vs both. If they tie with just Michigan, I think RU gets the higher seed if Wisconsin or Illinois win the title or tie because RU is 1-1 and Michigan is 0-1 vs the Badgers and RU is 1-1 and Michigan is 0-2 vs the Illini

Then again I could be wrong.

Wisconsin is first, unless Illinois wins 2, and Wisc loses to Nebby.
Illinois(13-5) has to finish 1 game above Purdue(13-6) to take 2nd, 0-2 vs Purdue.

Ohio St(11-7) vs Mich St(10-8) & vs Mich(10-8)
Iowa(11-7) @ UM(10-8) & @ Illinois (13-5)
Rutgers(11-8) vs PSU
Michigan St(10-8) Ohio St(11-7) & Md(7-12)
UM(10-8) vs Iowa(11-7) & @ OSU(11-7)

If Ohio St wins either Mich St or Michigan.
The best Mich or Michigan St finishes is 11-9
At 11-8, we hold the tie breaker on both

If Iowa doesn't sweep 2 road games, we win vs Penn St, Sun.
At 12-8, the best Iowa can finish is 12-8, RU 1-0 vs Iowa.

Only prevention of not getting 4th is Ohio St winning 2 home games.

I actually kind of like the scenario where we are the 5 seed, play winner of NW/Minny with Ohio State in the quarterfinals
yes, we have revenge motivation against both NW and Minnesota, and Ohio State is not playing well right now

There's another scenario where we're the 4 seed and Michigan is the 5 seed.

Really don't want to have to play them in Indy

I could not find a solution that puts us as the 8th seed. I see paths to facing Michigan State, Ohio State, Iowa, or Michigan in the 4/5 game, or falling to 6th or 7th with a loss on Sunday.

Win vs PSU:
- we are 4th if Ohio State and Iowa both drop a game.
- we are 6th if Ohio State and Iowa both go 2-0

If we face Michigan in Indianapolis, Coach Howard will be back on the sideline.

Rutgers, with a win over Penn State, will get the #4 seed if Iowa and Ohio State both lose a game and Rutgers doesn’t finish in a three way tie with Iowa and Michigan.

Good catch, this is an unlikely but possible scenario too. It requires:

RU beats PSU
Michigan beats Iowa and Ohio State
Ohio State loses to Michigan State and Michigan
Iowa loses to Michigan and beats Illinois
Michigan State beats Ohio State and loses to Maryland

Seedings would be:
Michigan 4
Rutgers 5
Iowa 6

Michigan State 7
Ohio State 8

Getting WAY ahead of myself, but in charting the “easiest” path to the finals, I like the 4 or the 5 line. Wisconsin is clearly no fluke, but we match up with them well and have played two close games. Id rather get them than Purdue or Illinois
