Will be interesting to see if he dresses and warms up on Saturday. According to the Herald Leader article, after the 45 days, he cannot practice with the team. Maybe UK got an extension from NCAA? Or maybe the NCAA is telling them to expect a ruling this week.
It is despicable, and beyond that so stupid by the NCAA. There's this huge opportunity to promote college basketball internationally where a major program like Kentucky has a player from Croatia. You don't think the basketball lovers in the Balkans wouldn't be following Z as the majority of our games are major given the program and even can be found on YouTube. There is zero excuse for him not to cleared especially seeing others who have.

To be totally fair though, the Add\Drop period for classes was October 31st. So, UK had to wait until then to get him enrolled into classes.
What exactly are they even looking into? Players are getting big bucks and free cars, and it’s all fine by the NCAA. There should be no hold up on this anymore.

true, they have not been about the "student athlete" for many years. it is truly just a business now. that is why UK should be suing them, like the other schools have done to get the proper answer and what is best for the player
I hate these things. I want this to be true, but keep remembering the Kanter debacle. We lost by 1 in the final 4. I gotta believe he would've been good for at least 2.

If it was any of the "golden child" programs, and we know who they are. This would've been resolved weeks ago.
This stuff takes forever and there is never any news, only at Kentucky. The kid would be playing by now if he had gone anywhere else.
No doubt ,if he had gone to Duke he would have been eligible before his plane landed in the US.

At this point, if Bradshaw is coming back and performs well, we really don't need Big Z. The reports out of practice have not been very glowing about him as he hasn't been on the court much. We have been pretty good at the 4/5 spot and Once Bradshaw is in the rotation there will not be any minutes for anyone extra.
I agree. 8 man rotation is perfect for thus team. Burkes for emergency use.

Yeah I was about day the only thing I ever saw was reeves and Edwards after a game got asked and both said he was a good shooter but that’s it

I asked a while back how many of our 7 footers will play at least 10 games this year. Beginning to look like Z won’t be one.
I despise the NCAA. I’m always amazed that their hatred of UK is higher than their love of success and money. When UK loses in a tournament, it costs them a ton of money. Yet they still do everything they can to sabotage the program.
How do you know that? Is it because things normally don't turn out well for you or what?
I honestly think if he plays both he and Bradshaw are going to take this team to a ridiculous level. I think many are underestimating how good he will fit in with this team.

No, lol I'm totally happy. Life could not have turned out better for me. But thing don't seem to turn out for UK in these situations. Bowie, Anderson in 97, Kanter, Recently Sharp, more recently 3, 7 footers at the SAME time. The NCAA hates UK AND Cow separately. Lifes treat me fine, UK... not so much!!
2nd semester clearance seems more and more a likely outcome. It makes no sense but this is the NCAA we are talking about.
