Big XII Champs?

With UNI taking their second conference loss to ISU today that leaves two teams with one loss in conference. A head to head at that point would put the Pokes in front of the cyclones, the conference tournament will tell us more, but in a year where the best guy is ORSing a dual championship is admirable.

If we wrestle good in the Big 12 Tournament we should win. I don't believe we have to wrestle great to win.

Speaking of that, Colbray Iowa St. Beat Steier of UNI at 74 at their dual today. Surprising to me.

Yup, he’s wrestling well. He handled Mantanona last week. Not that he’s a solid AA choice, but he’s looking better of late.

Looks like several weights in the Big XII every wrestler has losses to other Big XII opponents. The seeding meeting will probably be a wild one.

One of the blogs I interacted with had us picked to finish 3rd in November. I think it will be the most competitive tournament since Cael was at ISU. I know it's a challenging season, but I think these guys have kept the faith and improved all season. Looking forward to facing the Hawks. Just to see if our youngsters can make a dent in that line-up. Picc is a pretty sharp guy. I know he's facing one of the all-time great hawkeyes, but...
