They are locked and loaded again, with a lot of young wrestlers. I think they will have 4-5 Natty champions.
I think it depends on how Harley and McDanel wrestles at B1Gs. But I agree, we are in a good position to have all 10 wrestlers in Philly in a few weeks. Hopefully we can secure a top 5 finish, but I would really love to see this team wrestle good at NCAAs and bring home a trophy.
Also, shoutout to Sammy Sasso of Ohio State who hung up the shoes this week. Real sad story for him the last 9 months.
Andrews will be the most amount of jeopardy. He will likely be the 11 seed in the BIG and he's ranked 28 . The BIG will have 10 allocations and there will be 4 at large allocations.
McDanel will likely be a 7 BIG seed and hes ranked 20th nationally. I didnt care for his match against Stephenson. However, his match against Vanadia was spectacular. By far the best he has looked all season. and poured on the scoring explosion with 16 points in the 3rd against a guy known for his 3rd period exploits.
McDanel looked amazing that match. I expect him to qualify for NCAAs. If he goes 0-2 at B1G, that may be in jeopardy. But i don’t think that’ll happen.
Agreed on Harley. He’s the most likely to not qualify but I like our chances to get all 10 in.
Huskers are more well rounded than Iowa, I could 100% see them get 2nd. Buchanan is a beast and without him being dominant and Lovett choking Nebraska wins that dual
if the brackets go according to chalk then Iowa will be 2nd. they have predicted 4 in the finals and 2 champions. I totally agree the dual hinged on Lovett losing to Parco once again. However a wrestling team strong at Duals can lose a few positions in a large tournament. which is often the case with Nebraska. For a winning Tournament team a team needs 3-4 complete studs that make the finals.

I feel like there's a severe lack of coverage for Nebraska on this... I'm watching Trackwrestling more than the B1G Network
Telecast basically said the refs inserted themselves into the match. Manning very upset. Minto was ahead and then somehow got 2 stalls called against him. Seemed very weird, so he lost by 1 due to that call.
that was totally ******. although I thought manning should have thrown a brick with the first stalling call----if nothing else for Minto to compose himself.
