Saw this conversation start to get started and figured I'd just start a thread on it...who you think deserves the Big South OPOY, DPOY, and STPOY?

In my opinion, this conference has a lot of talent from top to bottom. I personally feel that the DPOY is the only one that isn't close. While there are plenty of talented defensive players in the conference, I don't believe that anyone has been as dominant consistently as 21 for HH. He impacts so much of what HH does defensively and has to always be accounted for. Others worthy of consideration are (#44 and #12) from HH, (#90, #10, #2) from KM, (#3 and #8) for Crest.

Offensively there are a lot of special talents around the conference as well. In no particular order:
#6 for HH
#4 for Burns
#12 for NG
#4 for Stuart Cramer
#12 for KM
#11 for KM

I think that it comes down to #4 from Burns and #11 and #12 from KM.

Several good Kickers in the conference as well as return guys.

Now I know I have left out some that others will say are deserving and I'm sure they are right.

Coach of the year is really interesting to me. Obviously it would be easy to say McCoy from HH. Going undefeated in a tough Big South Speaks for itself. With all that D1 talent over at HH, he pretty much just needed to not mess it up in order to win the conference.

If the vote is taken today than I believe that you pretty much have to go with Wade from KM as offensive player of year and Bemah from Huss as defensive player of the year. One thing that I will add and I said this at the beginning of the year also, the top level talent in the Big South is outstanding. You have great defensive players, offensive players, return guys, and kickers. Offensive linemen are the only group in the conference that do not really standout like some of the other groups.

First quarter of the season for OPOY, my pick was definitely Wade. The senior is the undisputed leader of KM. He does whatever it takes, puts the team on his back during adverse situations, plays with so much heart and determination. Second quarter? Paysour!!! Young man is just flat out phenomenal, he’s special. Heading down the final stretch, It’s Pryor of Burns, in my opinion. Wade and Paysour have the luxury of each other, as well as some other additional pieces. Pryor stands alone, and he’s giving it to everyone, all opposition, without the luxury of having elite surrounding talent to take same of the pressure off of him. All opposition game plan for him and him only for Burns. My pick is Pryor for OPOY, but cases can be made for all three of them, no doubt, and I wouldn’t be surprised by any of them being named OPOY.

I agree. Pryor has been a beast. He plays with a ton of heart.

My pick is Wade or Paysour for OPOY. Jaheim Mullen for POY in the Conference. He’s a star on both sides of the ball. Special Teams, Defense and Offense. Just my opinion.

OPOY- Pryor. Huge fan of Wade and Paysour, but they have each other. Pryor, is a one man wrecking crew. Take him off of Burns and look at that team.

DPOY-Mcclee. And Huskie and Charger fans I'm not taking anything away from your dudes. Prince is a stud maybe the best LB to come through the area since Spikes (can't believe I'm saying that, because I never thought I'd say that). Ramseur and Boykins are ballers. I'd say this race is the more contested one.

STPOY- Cloninger. Seriously, what is not in this kids range?

Coach of the Year- McKoy...impressive job.

I know those fans up in Newton are proud!
You seem salty. Would you have anything to say if he would have ended up in KM? That is the parents prerogative. I don’t care where kids go to school as long as they live in that school’s district and representatives of the school did not induce a transfer with money, cars, jobs, etc.
