Big Recruiting Weekend?

This was suppose to be a huge recruiting weekend before the coach head back to coach a team that does indeed have a coach (another issue entirely)...WELLL...the only noise heard from Lincoln so far has been the resounding sound of crickets.....nothing....nil....nada....no noise at all.....

Good...bad....or what?

We never hear much until Sunday at the earliest, most of the kids are still in Lincoln and won’t do any interviews until they get home.

FYI. It’s no longer WELLL. It’s now WWWWWWWWWWWWWell.

You likely won't hear any commits until later in the coming week after they've been home and had a chance to think about it.

Seriously man.... in the words of Aaron Rodgers R. E.L.A.X. Most recruits are still on their visit. Did you expect them to commit the moment they got off a plane? It takes time for them to see everything and take everything in.

Good grief. SF was just announced a week ago. The full staff was just finalized a few days ago and they just started recruiting for NU. This is the first OV weekend for the new staff and it’s late in the recruiting process. The reality is, that we all need to temper our expectations of this first round of recruiting. I get it, there is heightened sense of urgency with the early signing period. But to expect the staff to be announced on December 3rd, and expect them to close on a bunch of recruits by the 20th (17 days) is not only unreasonable, it downright asinine. Have patience. This thing was pretty much burned to the ground under the previous 3 coaches, and it’s going to take time to rebuild the ashes. These coaches are going to get the right players, and they’re going to get it turned around. But posts like this already demonstrate the lack of patience. Just chill out, enjoy the fact that we have a professional AD and one of the most exciting coaches in the country. Better days are on their way, they just aren’t going to come overnight.

Clearly the staff has failed already. Lets buy out Frost and hire Josh Heupel.

Let's let the weekend play out. I am not going to be surprised if it takes a week to find out what the players are going to do.

I was not, and I'm still not expecting that we are going to get 2,3,4 commits by tomorrow.

We'll see.
