Reminder: there will be a random draw for position on the brackets for each weight class, allowing the possibility of scattered seeds throughout the opening round match-ups.

Happy Friday guys! To clarify:

Each weight will have 8 seeded wrestlers. The additional 4 will be randomly drawn into the bracket, meaning the top 4 seeds may or may receive a bye in the first round in the 16 man bracket setup.

Last year the top 4 seeds all got opening round byes while the other 8 wrestlers had R16 matches (which led to no bonus being scored in the opening round so as not to penalize the better seeds). It sounds like this year that won't be the case and everyone will have the potential to wrestle depending on the draw. Those brackets don't show that, though.
