Man, if I was any kind of conspiracy theorist.....

OU just happens to be on the same side of the bracket as the OSU wrestler in every weight except where an OU kid beat an OSU kid. Except Heavyweight. That’s seven out of eight possibilities that an OU kid has to beat an OSU kid he’s already lost to to reach the finals.

But the two OSU kids who lost to an OU kid....doesn’t have to meet up with them until the finals.

I’m calling ******** early on.

Well, Micco, since one of OU wins (174) was over a backup 157....pretty sure the competition will be a little stiffer for him.;)

I have no doubt. I also have no doubt all the outcomes will be the same in all the other matches.

But I've been in a lot of seeding meetings. To think there aren't politics involved (coaches getting together to get certain wrestlers on certain sides of the bracket) is naïve thinking at best.

I'm not definitively saying that happened here. It's not like OU is in the running to scare OSU for the title. But it's mathematically just a little too much to think this just played out this way without some hedging somewhere.

To be fair, the seeding meeting isn't until Friday. These are preliminary brackets that could change if the preseeds don't hold up.
