Big 12 media days

I don't think Mark Stoops is going anywhere.

Not too many programs want him and would be difficult seeing Kentucky firing him.

If he wins 10-11 games again you could see especially since Calipari just got an extension.
Kentucky has some big time boosters that would put the money out there. The SEC East isn't what it once was at least until you see Florida as a consistent Top 10 program.

You could say Kentucky is at least Top 3 maybe Top 2 the last two years in the SEC East.

Not that I’m even a bit jealous of the SEC but I wish you could watch Big 12 media days like you can with the SEC in the evening.

I saw today former Clemson QB Kelly Bryant is at Mizzoo now and at SEC media days. I’d like to give him truth syrum and ask how much did Clemson pay you out of high school and did Mizzoo pay more-haha?

And btw what idiot decided to go the same days as the SEC? The Big 12 could have went next week. That’s all’s I’m a saying!

Dana was usually uncomfortable.
Like he wanted to be elsewhere. Don't know what caused this. Going to watch the AAC media days and see if he is any different.

Truthfully wished I watched Neal Brown's last year with the Sun Belt. Should have had a better understanding that he was going to be hired elsewhere.

Watch Matt Wells from Texas Tech. That is how you want to handle it. Not exactly but with the same charisma and spark that gets people excited.

I don't have anything to go on with Neal Brown except what Dana has done.
Like I said Dana was a C+ at best in these situations.
Not coaches are great at it. Les Miles was uncomfortable as all get out and he has done it for 15 years.

I think Miles loses his train of thought and rambles to try and circle back around to the original point.

I have always liked Miles, have always thought he was a bit different, but thought his personality was good for college football. I don’t know what can be done at Kansas. Wish he could have landed a better spot. If he can even get them to a 5-7 win per year club, they need to keep him forever.

Neal Brown was impressive today.

You can tell he has fire and determination.
If you watch the LHN version of the Big 12 media days Ahmad Brooks says the Troy players had tears in their eyes. That was how much they loved playing for Brown and Troy
Probably could stream it from ESPN+ without LHN.

He has an entire state now. Have to give the guy time but I think the entire state of WV is going to connect with his football program.

The exchange with Ian Boyd was perfect.
Said he hoped his former player mama was watching because he was going to make her proud of her son.

Buckaineer has some valued points.

He is just not understanding that Dana isn't the best guy off the field.

I saw it today when watching him at the AAC media day. Their media is just one guy talking to the coaches. Nothing serious.

He looks shifty like he wants to be elsewhere and continues saying that he is going to win big because he is at Cougar High....

I don't think it is that easy even at Cougar High.
He is underestimating Memphis and SMU.
Sonny Dykes is one hell of a coach and what he is doing with SMU is very intelligent.
SMU is going to start wrecking things in the AAC West.
Houston is more of a loyal city than the Metroplex. Dallas is a pretty loyal city but Houston is on another level.
Dana has the chance but he is failing.
His failure is not establishing relationships with Ro Simon Jr and (Footwork King) Rischad Whitfield.
Whitfield is a former Cougar High Football player

I think in 3-4 years Brown will have things going the way he wants. It will be harder to win 10 games every year in the B12 than the Sun Belt, and when you factor in that WVU will play a minimum of 11 P5 teams each season for at least the next 6 years, it is not going to be easy. There will be up and down seasons, but if he can have more up than down, and the down are more like 6-8 wins a year than 2-5 wins a year, we will be in good shape.

There is no reason WVU can’t annually compete for a top 3 or better finish in the B12. Regardless of what anyone thought about Dana, we finished with a winning conference record 4 of the last 5 years, so clearly if Brown can take WVU to the next step, the upper half of the conference should be the norm and expectation.

So the question is, “What can Brown do for you?”

Not one poster talking bs about Holgorsen probably ever met the man. Other people formed your opinion for you, or you are simply repeating nonsense haters mad up.

He did what he could at WVU and finished as one of the winningest coaches against the toughest schedule and probably circumstances ever faced by a coach.

Hope the new coach will blow the doors off-- but even he is preaching " patience" to a fanbase that gave Holgorsen NONE- even though he won the Big East and crushed Clemson year one.

Imaginary values are not going to replace wins.

There are some players he brought in so far l like.
Okoli the WR/CB
Greene the QB

My knowledge of everyone's recruiting class is pretty limited so far outside of Texas and Oklahoma so I don't know who is recruiting at a high level.

Possibly TCU right now but not 100% sure.

Neal Brown needs to get into a spot where he is bringing in talent better than the rest and comparable to Texas and Oklahoma.
Not in regards to stars or rankings but in upside.

Okoli has a chance to be All Conference as a shutdown CB.

NB will give WVU football a unique personality and not try to glorify numbers to make himself look like a genius. Exciting time.
