The question I ask myself, is it better to spend big money for the best facilities or update your facilities and spend big on coaching and rtc athletes?

I would like to see an elite RTC program. The question is can you have an elite RTC without elite facilities ?

I think the blueprint is somewhat similar to O’Brate stadium has taken. Not in the sense of a new venue but the stuff they built into it. They built all the best in practice facility but also created a place where past players can come back work on their game and education facility.

Now you get guys Holliday & Ventura around the program in addition like a recent article published, you get the Rockies 3b coming in to work out with Holliday. Do you think any of the current players had any interactions with him while he was here? If you are getting former All Star MLB around your program do you think it will help with recruiting? World will be out.

Now if you had that world class wrestling facility that lends itself to keeping and retaining past greats to come around the facility should help recruits on many different levels including education.

I could be wrong just my thoughts.

Think what kind coaching and rtc members 4 or 5 million dollars could bring. Bring in more individual coaching.

Holder and OSU are going to spend big on faculties because as a university that’s all they can raise money for.

Cowboy RTC can fundraise for club things including athlete stipends and moving expenses but by rule it has to be separate from the university but everyone blends those lines (and that is being polite).

John Smith and Mike Holder will not go down that road until there is clear determination from the NCAA. My fear is we won’t ever get it because it just doesn’t move the needle.

We will at least be able to offer some of the best if not the best facilities in the nation in the next few years.

Just my opinion, but if you could get millions of dollars of high level athletes, rolling with your college athletes = an awesome team. I know that having a sexy new facility is enticing but look at the facilities in Dagestan, shown on FloWrestling.
