Yeah I hope it works out for Bender as well. He showed flashes but just never the consistency that Huggins and quite frankly all head coaches at legitimate D1 programs will demand. Nate Adrian had an interesting comment on the 3 Guys podcast about a week ago regarding Bender. He told Caridi and Howe that he thought Bender was uncomfortable playing in front of large crowds due to how he reacted to that scrimmage in Wheeling so if that is the case, Mercer would be a better fit. Regardless, he never got in trouble while he was here and looked to be a decent teammate so I wish him nothing but the best. Good luck MB!
