Hope Hausen continues to play can be a difference maker with how good he is from 3.

He's doing exactly what you hope any player would do when challenged by their coach.

He didn't pout about not getting minutes. He put in work, lost 20lbs , and looks like he's ready to contribute some very good minutes.

Thrilled for Hausen. This is a kid who started all season for K-State last year, but he's been buried at the end of Ben's bench. That would be depressing any time, but especially so in these days when many kids play for 3 or 4 teams in 4 or 5 years.

Hausen not only hit some great shots last night, he also made a brilliant defensive play on an inbound that forced Oregon to call a timeout. Ben has had nothing but great things to see about Brendan's effort and attitude all season. Now we may be seeing all of that come together for not only Hausen's benefit but for the Hawkeyes. I love that kid's story, and I hope it has a fitting conclusion this season, like hitting the game winner to send Iowa to the Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 1999.

I’m just amazed that the players were somehow able to overcome the rigors of the grueling 4 hour flight to Eugene!

Can definitely use Hausen's shooting, so hopefully he can continue to get more and more minutes. It's clear that the guy can really fill it up when he gets rolling.
What a great story and good for him keeping his head up and grinding each day and in practice, so refreshing. Maybe it was extra weight and needing to be in better shape to excel in this system. We NEED another shooter and threat come March and agree with the above comment about what an awesome chapter this would be for him to get hot late in season and in tournament.

Hausen took one into the lane and finished a jumper but could he move in a little on the 3 pointers? He might find the range a little bit more
