By some miracle they get the ball in a tie game w/ under 30 seconds left. They end up shooting with 10+ seconds on the clock, we get the rebound and they foul. If we did that after a timeout this board would lose their mind, and rightfully so. To not ensure your team gets the last shot there is unforgivable, but I'll take it.

I agree, somewhat, but wasn’t there about 7.5 seconds between the shot clock and game clock? In other words, the game clock had 7.5 more seconds on it than the shot clock did.

Ashton did the same thing at the end of regulation. Tried to pass it to Nick for a lob in traffic instead of making sure we got the last shot. Small miracle their 92% shooter missed one, and that was probably due to icing him because the refs couldn't decide who Hagans fouled.
imo they wouldn’t have hit it. but they were getting the whistle guaranteed on the drive all down the stretch. i think you take the high % play to score. they have no bail out scoring. did they even make a fg down the stretch? i think not many.

UK responded to and dealt with many momentum swing moments when things seemed to be going TTs way. Nick Richards was the main responder but still.. this was March Madness intensity given the road game. TT was given a shot at the all time winningest program. Not a TT fan but they showed up and made Uk gut it out. Objectively this was a college ball classic.
shot clock?? seem to recall announcer mentioning it while refs checking time (18.4 sec) and the shot clock was less than the 18, but honestly I never was looking at the clock again only the action.

25 on game clock and 18 on shot clock because they got off rebound on the missed FT it no longer resets to 30 it goes to 20.
