BBM or blue white game?

I saw earlier last week that a BBM in memorial is a possibility with no fans. I have not seen anything about it since matt jones first reported the possibility. The first games are to be played on the 25th, which is exactly 3 weeks away. If there were to be a BBM it would have to be sooner rather than later, so has anyone heard any news?
I would love to be able to see the guys in action before a game, so I am hoping this will happen!

The DI Council approved moving the start date of the 2020-21 season to Wednesday, Nov. 25.
  • Originally, it was scheduled to begin on Thursday, Nov. 10.
  • No exhibition games or scrimmages will be allowed before Nov. 25.
  • Practices opened on Wednesday, Oct. 14.
This is what was reported information from the NCAA website. I know it has been reported by KSR that UK is trying to get this done, but I don't see UK having a Blue-White scrimmage, or a Madness type event when they cannot have it before Nov. 25. They are going to have to cram as many games as they can in a shorter season.

Well, that stinks. I'd love to see a blue-white scrimmage or an exhibition. Oh well, I guess everyone has the same disadvantage. There will probably be some ugly basketball played early on this season, across the board. I mean, with no scrimmages or exhibitions, it could be VERY ugly.

I think the scrimmages in that ruling refer to the "secret", pre-exhibition scrimmages against other teams. If you can't scrimmage against your own team then you can't really practice.

I agree that BBM has been kind of a boring event. Yes, it is exciting to see our team introduction each year, but watching any of it on television ends up being pretty boring after that. First, and no offense to the women's team, but for many fans including myself, it is not of interest. Then, theyfinally get around to the mens intro's and OK we see who is who. Cal gives his speech which the first few years was new to us, but now I can write it. Then they have the game with no defense and the television announcers talk over iwhat is occuring and you can't even follow it.

I've had different views when it comes to BBM. In a way it's over hyped yes but come every October I still find myself logging onto ticketmaster and wanting to get tickets to it.

I've come to the realization that I must enjoy it or else I wouldn't go every single year as I have the past 10 years. You just take it for what it is. A show. A celebration of not just UK basketball but UK athletics in general.

The blue/white game is always better as it's more basketball centric of course but yet it's always BBM that gets the attention. I think there's a reason for that.

I just go to both lol

Exactly. They should just use chain nets and play on asphalt the first 5 games. Go full on Ghetto.

This is a good year to have a bit of experience to fall back on.
