West Virginia only a 7 point fave over Texas. I guess Vegas was impressed by that big win against Kansas...........

Yep, no surprise there really.

People jumping all over five lousy points, and there will be shocking amount of folks giving the 15 and taking the Bears to cover it.
I'm damn glad I don't know a bookie anymore...I could get my knees broke.

Fitty, the link I posted was bad. I deleted it, but not before you answered. It was from 2013. My bad, I should have known the line wouldn't have jumped 10 points in only a few hours......Yahoo front page sucks.........

Line will go to 7 quickly with early Baylor money

We'll see.....

I once had a bookie that hated taking bets on OU. 90% of the OU fans would take the over spread. He would add 3 points to the Vegas prediction and told me he would still lose 75% of those bets. If you didn't notice in the link I provided, OU has covered every game except Tulsa and Texas.......

Yep, back in the early/mid seventies, OU was gold for beating the spread. Matter of fact, before one season, '74 or '75, I gave a guy 21 points for every game, 20 bucks each.

I think I only lost 2, maybe 3 of them.

My junior year was 1971. We won our first nine games and beat the spread the first six, including the sixth, when we were a 38 point favorite in Manhattan. When we went up 40, early in the fourth quarter, more than a few of OUr players got really excited.

And then we put in the third team backfield after stopping KState. The third team fullback fumbled. It was the first possession of the day that we didn't score a touchdown. And the staff, with alumni wagers on the line, put the second team backfield back in on the next possession.
